I Love Drugstore Makeup Tag!

(some of my favorite, don't have them all with me because I'm away from all my makeup...but these are firm staples)

1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand overall?

L'Oreal- don't get me wrong i love a lot of drugstore makeup brands (like Maybelline and Rimmel) but L'Oreal does a great drugstore foundation and great mascaras...even though it may not be the most prominent brand in makeup bag i think they do really great products (Rimmel, you would have one if everything you released in the UK was available in America!)

2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?

Face- L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Cheek- Rimmel Blushes (I haven't really gotten into drugstore blushes), NYX Cream Blushes 

Lip- Revlon Black Label Lipsticks, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

3. Least favorite product?

Maybelline Mega Plush Lash Mascara - I absolutely abhor this mascara...the stupid bendy brush doesn't get in between my lashes at all and it barely even coats them...it barely even tints them! and it takes forever to even do that! i like volumizing mascaras that are easy to brush on quickly and this is fussy and takes forever. No thank you! worst product i tried all year...plus the name is so misleading "Mega Plush" you'd think it would be super volumizing and great

4. What is the best makeup bargain?

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- it's only $4-$5 and lasts forever! I just hate the packaging

5. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)

Maybelline Full 'n Soft Mascara- I adore this mascara....I use the waterproof kind. I wear hard contacts so I need a mascara thatdoesn't flake...trust me I can tell which ones do because they get under my contacts and scratch at my eye (SO PAINFUL) and it builds fabulously, doesn't really smudge (my eyelids are super oily and L'Oreal voluminous is a disaster at the end of the day with smudging) and its just the best mascara I've ever used I can't rave enough about it

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?

all the primers that they sell in the drugstore come in ridiculously tiny tubes and are like $15! you could probably get a high end primer that works better for the same price if you look at it amount wise

also eyebrow pencils! the maybelline brow master ( I think it's called) is like $9-$10 for a stupid eyebrow pencil! 

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!!

I wouldn't really say I have a dupe- I don't spend my time trying to dupe things....I'll just tell you out of all the products I've tried I think that the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and Maybelline Full 'n Soft Mascara are better than high end products. (right now actually being compared to my MAC MSF Natural and Benefit Bad Gal Lash because those are the products I'm neglecting for my drugstore products!)

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?

I want to say Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara again because everyone raves about that and I think it's terrible, but also the L'Oreal Fairest Nude Lipstick- oh my gosh I can't stand the smell of it and everyone says it's their best nude blah blah blah but I hate it (thats the one miss L'Oreal has...their lipsticks smell like plastic little kid makeup)

(as a side note...for all you UK people...Bourjois is probably my favorite overall...I just don't mention it because you can't really get it in the states...I have some from when I was in Ireland and it's fab...I just can't really get it over here so I thought it would be fair to just use the products in my actual drugstore)
