My Current Mascara Combo

any clumping you may see isn't due to the mascara...it's due to my permanent watery eyes ruining my makeup 24/7
-also i don't curl my eyelashes so I can't judge how well these curl/hold a curl-

Hello Lovelies! Thank you again to all of you who follow me and read my posts it means the world to me, it really does. Today I thought I'd share with you my current love/favorite mascara combination!
And to show you luckily I took some funny pictures a while back and actually have a use for them! (never thought they'd be more than an instagram/twitter post)

So to crack on to the actual mascaras....drumroll please.....they are...

and

I absolutely adore these two and they are definitely well loved. As you know if you read my blog regularly, i wear hard contacts which requires lots and lots of eyedrops for my already watery/runny eyes...so I delve into the world of waterproof mascaras quite often

Usually I am nothing but disappointed by waterproof mascaras that aren't the same formulation as their regular counterpart (Rimmel Scandal'Eyes!) or ones that claim to be waterproof but are actually even less waterproof than the normal one! (L'oreal Voluminous!)

So to have found mascaras that not only stay on my eyelashes, don't smudge around, and are a fantastic formulation you might say I'm ecstatic!

my beloved Maybelline Full N Soft...if you've read any of my other posts this has probably been mentioned and I don't plan on straying anytime soon as you can see from the top of the tube it is well loved.
believe it or not this recommendation actually came from my mom! who has sensitive eyes and can pick out the exact moment when mascaras start to flake..this has been in her makeup bag forever and she's been trying to get my to use it since I started wearing makeup! and man do I regret not listening sooner. this mascara builds up extremely well  (has a bristle brush...I hate the plastic ones) and separates your lashes while adding a good amount of volume in just a single coat.
If I'm in a hurry I'll just throw this on super quickly and go and it's absolutely perfect

I had tried the normal Bad Gal Lash before and liked it (even though it was kind of smudgy) but I had never gone out and bought it again due to the price tag. But around thanksgiving/christmas there are all the fabulous sets and I got a benefit one that had a full size waterproof Bad Gal Lash and thought wow how perfect it's even waterproof!
Now on its own...near the tips of my lashes it does smudge onto my eyebrow bone area....so when I use this in conjunction with my beloved Maybelline mascara...I apply this to the base of my lashes and only about halfway up because it gives amazing volume and looks fabulous
The brush on the is fantastic because It is essentially the same idea as the curved wands without actually being curved...if you look at it it's smaller in the middle and just makes it super easy and quick to apply as it goes with the contour of your eye. When I had the original one it had a completely different wand...more similar to the Maybelline one....so I just checked and that is still true. So if you've tried the original the mascara wand is totally different and the waterproof one is by far the better one

Both of these mascaras are super black and decently waterproof. The Maybelline Full N Soft doesn't really smudge onto my brow bone or give me raccoon eyes (but the benefit one does when used on its own). Both of these mascaras have lasted quite a long time and don't seem to be drying out. The brushes are fantastic and I love both of these mascaras and this combo so much

They are fantastic! and I recommend them highly.

What are your favorite mascaras/combos? Do you guys know of any fabulous waterproof mascaras?

    1. i've tried telescopic but I find it's still too smudgy..and my eyelashes are pretty long to start so lengthening them usually makes them smudge on my eyebrow bone and SUPER long eyelashes is a no no on anyone lol
